The minimum age is 21 years to hire a car from the local travels and the drivers shouldn’t violate speed norms on highways as well as on city roads. Bikers need to wear helmets while cycling. Some sea ports are closed for passenger service and Cyprus has declared them as illegal ports for entering the country.
One of the important things as a tourist you should know is that the people here respect their religion a lot. So as a visitor you should also respect their orthodox Greek and Muslim customs. The local culture is an amalgamation of the Turkish and Greek cultures. One can even see some of dash of the British culture also.
